Quang Huỳnh

Quang Huỳnh is a Vietnamese immigrant who moved to New Orleans 20 years ago and now runs Kim's Acupuncture, a successful clinic in Uptown. Initially trained in Western medicine, he shifted to Eastern practices, focusing on holistic healing and natural remedies. Through his work, he provides alternative health options and advocates for the value of traditional practices.

Huỳnh is also passionate about the representation of the Vietnamese community in New Orleans, highlighting the city's lack of visible Vietnamese architectural influence. His dedication to his heritage and patients makes him a respected figure in the community.

What role did Vietnamese culture play in your childhood?


“My childhood, my family, work with family business. Children have to help their parents. My parents and I made clothes for the World Cup. So I would say the role of family business. Everyone has to work for the mother or the father. And I don't see it in the West nowadays.”
